BURLINGTON, Vt., September 20, 2010 - Burlington's Planet 96.7/WXZO-FM introduced Elvis Duran to its morning drive audience today, September 20. The station, which flipped from Oldies to CHR, now airs the nationally top-rated Elvis Duran and the Morning Show weekdays from 6 - 10 a.m. local time. Each morning, Duran and his on-air crew entertain listeners with up-to-the-minute pop culture and entertainment news, celebrity guests, hit songs, and regular features such as the gossipy "Daily Sleaze," the fashion-forward "Rage Page," and the ever-popular prank, "Phone Tap."

WXZO-FM Program Director Slater stated, "We are extremely excited to bring one of the world’s best morning shows to Burlington/Plattsburgh's listeners on Planet 96.7."

Duran's radio career has spanned 30 years. He began hosting his daily radio show on New York's Z100 in April 1996. Since then, the show has enjoyed much success including syndication this past year on about 30 stations nationwide in such markets as Phoenix, Atlanta, Cleveland, New Haven, Portsmouth, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Philadelphia, Spokane and Syracuse. The "maitre'd of the mornings" loves traveling the world and enjoys great movies, books, wines and restaurants. He’s also hooked on such TV shows as Glee, Modern Family, Dexter and Weeds. Easily accessible, Duran regularly chats with fans on Facebook and Twitter.
