Monday, August 17th 2009 Marketing Veteran Rick Murray Joins After MidNite Team

LOS ANGELES, August 17, 2009 - Premiere Radio Networks announced today that entertainment marketing veteran Rick Murray has been named Director of Marketing and Brand Development for After MidNite with Blair Garner. In this new position, Murray will manage all marketing and branding for After MidNite, Blair Garner and www.BlairGarner.com. In addition, he'll work closely with record labels and handle all promotions for the program. Based in Nashville, Tenn., he will report to Jennifer Leimgruber, Premiere Radio Networks SVP of Programming.
Leimgruber commented, "We couldn't be happier to welcome Rick to the After MidNite team. His extensive career in marketing, as well as his creativity and passion for Country music, are a perfect fit for the program."
Murray brings more than twenty five years of entertainment marketing and event production experience to the After MidNite team. Most recently, he was President of Greylock Entertainment, a full-service integrated entertainment marketing and promotional company, which worked with such clients such as the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, actor Jason Alexander, Country music artist Katie Armiger and many others. From 1984 to 2007, Murray served as Vice President of Strategic Marketing for the Country Music Association, where he was responsible for market development and the expansion of the Country music industry, both domestically and internationally. During that time, he launched the CMA Sponsorship Program and created a comprehensive corporate marketing strategy resulting in partnerships with more than 100 brands, as well as Hollywood initiatives with ABC, CBS, NBC and "Wheel of Fortune." In addition to serving as National Sales Manager for the College Satellite Network and Special Projects Manager for Films Incorporated/PMI, Murray has a background in politics that includes the United States Vice Presidential Advance.
In 2007, Murray was the recipient of the Canadian Country Music Association's Leonard T. Rambeau International Award. He currently serves on the board of directors for both the International Entertainment Buyers Association and the T.J. Martell Foundation, Nashville Chapter. Murray is a member of The Recording Academy (NARAS), The Television Academy (NATAS) and The Country Music Association. He holds a Masters degree in Counseling and Human Development and a Bachelors degree in Business Management/Administration from Bradley University.
On November 13, 1993, After MidNite aired for the first time on 12 stations. Word spread and within four months, more than 100 affiliates were on board. Today, the highly acclaimed Country radio show is nationally syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks and can be heard on nearly 250 affiliates. The program continues to experience significant growth. Over the last year, the After MidNite audience has increased 35% with Adults 18-49 and 52% with Adults 25-54 (Source: Arbitron, Nationwide, FA'07 to FA'08, Exact Times, AQH).
