In her new position, Terakawa will be responsible for all aspects of advertising sales and sponsorships. She will oversee six regional offices and a national sales team of more than 60. With her ability to integrate online media into the overall media mix, she will broaden and enhance Premiere's existing capabilities.
Rahilly stated, "Carol's innate understanding of reaching consumers via audio, as well as her impressive creativity in connecting with them digitally, makes her the ideal person to lead our team."
"I'm thrilled to be joining the Premiere Radio team and to build upon the caliber of Premiere's dominant radio personalities and content as it reaches a vast audience," said Terakawa. "It's an exciting time to see audio content converging online and offline with consumers' media behaviors today."
Prior to joining Premiere Radio, Terakawa worked at Yahoo! for seven years where she started as the Executive Director of Sales for the Southwest region and also served as the Category Development Officer for the entertainment division during its time of unprecedented online business growth. She is a member of the board of directors of the advertising organization ThinkLA as well as NAMME.
Terakawa is a graduate of the University of Southern California and holds a B.A. degree in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations. She currently resides in Burbank with her husband, Roy Furukawa and their daughter, Alyssa.
