LOS ANGELES, December 13, 2007 - Radio airplay surrounding the historic reunion of Led Zeppelin in London on Monday, December 10, resulted in a spike in radio airplay in the U.S. and Canada, according to Mediabase, a firm which monitors such activity.

"The Zeppelin reunion had a very real and noticeable effect on radio programming," remarked Mediabase President and Premiere Radio Networks EVP, Rich Meyer.

According to Mediabase, Led Zeppelin airplay increased 15.1 percent, comparing Monday and Tuesday, December 3 and 4, to the week of the concert, Monday and Tuesday, December 10 and 11. During the two-day period the week before the concert, Led Zeppelin registered 3,514 plays in the U.S. and Canada. The two-day period surrounding the concert saw airplay jump to 4,139 spins. The number of actual song titles increased by 21 percent, from 84 to 106 during the two-week comparison.
