Dan Patrick Celebrates 5th Anniversary on FOX Sports Radio
LOS ANGELES, October 08, 2012 -- On the heels of his 2012 NAB Marconi Award win for "Network/Syndicated Personality of the Year," FOX Sports Radio congratulates Dan Patrick on his five-year anniversary with the network this month. Since launching nationally in Oct. 2007, The Dan Patrick Show has amassed a loyal following of 1.2 million weekly radio listeners on more than 250 affiliates. (Arbitron, SP'12, Nationwide, Exact Times, Cume, P 12+). Produced by DIRECTV, the show is simulcast daily on DIRECTV's Audience Network, and is one of the most-widely-syndicated sports talk radio programs in the country.  Â
Patrick stated on-air, "...five years ago today, we walked the plank and decided to do this show. We actually did it from the attic in my house, but we've grown up. We have two man caves now, the TV show in 100 million homes, and the radio show in 270 cities. There are a lot of people to thank."
"We are very excited to share in this celebration with Dan," said Don Martin, Premiere Networks senior vice president of programming. "The Dan Patrick Show is an integral part of the FOX Sports Radio line-up and we are proud to congratulate him on this special milestone. We look forward to another five great years!"
In honor of the anniversary, FOX Sports Radio surprised The Dan Patrick Show with a cake, and Patrick decided one of the Danettes should get the "baseball cake in the face" treatment to celebrate (baseball teams celebrate outstanding performances by smashing pie in a teammate's face). Below are photos from the celebration.
