Jennie Garth, Phil Vassar, Idol's Skylar Laine and Scott Reeves Fill In for Vacationing Blair Garner on After MidNite
LOS ANGELES, July 9, 2012 -- When host Blair Garner heads off for his summer vacation July 10 - 16, hosting duties will be turned over to an actress, a superstar singer/songwriter, an American Idol finalist with her sights set on Nashville, and a soap opera star/country singer. Jennie Garth, Phil Vassar, Skylar Laine and Scott Reeves will guest host After MidNite this week, and each one will bring their unique style and candid stories to the show.
American Idol finalist and Brandon, Mississippi native Skylar Laine will kick off the week as guest host on Monday night/Tuesday morning, July 10, and will talk about her Idol experience, the American Idol Tour and the perfect date.
Then, Illinois native and television actress Jennie Garth (CMT's Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country, Beverly Hills 90210, Dancing With The Stars) will guest host Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, July 11, and Wednesday night/Thursday morning, July 12. Joined in studio by her traveling entourage -- her three children and two dogs -- Garth will share her experience working with LA Laker Metta World Peace on a Lifetime movie, and defend dying one of her puppies pink.
Country superstar and award-winning artist, songwriter and entrepreneur Phil Vassar will take the chair on Thursday night/Friday morning, July 13, and Friday night/Saturday morning, July 14. The Rodeowave Entertainment artist is taking time out of his busy schedule to take over the After MidNite helm and talk about touring, songwriting, upcoming television projects and the new video for his single "Don't Miss Your Life!"
Finally, General Hospital star and country singer/songwriter Scott Reeves will sit in on Saturday night/Sunday morning, July 15, and Sunday night/Monday morning, July 16. Reeves, who portrays "Dr. Steven Webber" on GH, will talk about his latest acting projects, as well as his band Port Chuck (which, along with fellow actors/band members Steve Burton, Bradford Anderson and Brandon Barash, tours the country when not in production), what it was like to work with Toby Keith on his single "Made in America," and splitting his time between Los Angeles and Nashville.
