The Bobby Bones Show's Ray Breaks Fist Pumping World Record
LOS ANGELES, May 15, 2012 -- The Bobby Bones Show producer Ray set out to break the Guinness World Record for the longest time spent fist pumping, and after 17 hours and 15 minutes, he is the new record holder. Yesterday, Ray told listeners he was confident he could break the 17-hour record set May 11 by James Peterson of Akron, Ohio. From 7 p.m. CT last night until 12:15 p.m. CT today, listeners and fans cheered Ray on via the show's Facebook page and by Tweeting #pumpRaypump while watching the live video feed at www.BobbyBones.com.
After reaching his goal, Ray stated: "My arm hurts, but it was awesome!" Bones added, "Ray loves to fist pump outside of the show, so I thought he'd like to do it during the show. We had multiple news outlets show up, and Ray is now making his first national media appearance tomorrow morning on FOX Sports Radio. As crazy as it sounds, this was quite the athletic achievement."
All 17 hours and 15 minutes of Ray's fist-pumping marathon have been recorded and will be submitted to Guinness. Click the link below to watch him fist pump his way into the record books: http://www.justin.tv/bobbybonesshow/b/318300718.
